Common questions, plain answers

Each answer below is the same text the Madrid support team would type into a live chat reply. If your question isn't here, the chat widget in the corner of every page picks up Monday to Friday 09:00–19:00 CET.

Who is eligible to play paid pools?

Anyone over 18 who is a tax resident in Spain, holds a verifiable DNI/NIE or EU passport, and can pass identity verification through our KYC partner Veridas. Free-tier features (practice pool, leaderboard reading, profile management) are open to any 18+ resident of the EU.

How long does account verification take?

About ninety seconds. You upload a photo of your DNI/NIE/passport and take a short selfie video. The KYC engine cross-references both against the documents' embedded data. In rare cases (blurry photo, expired document) a human reviewer is added — that delays the process to four business hours during weekdays.

What payment methods does the platform accept?

SEPA bank transfer (free, recommended), Bizum (free, instant), Spanish-issued debit cards (free, instant). We deliberately do not accept credit cards or cash-advance instruments — paying pool entries with borrowed money is one of the strongest harm indicators in our industry.

When do prize winnings hit my wallet?

Within twenty-four hours of the last whistle of the round. Most weekend pools settle by Tuesday 09:00 CET. Once in your wallet, withdrawals to a verified Spanish IBAN clear by 09:00 the following working day, free of charge.

How is the platform's rake calculated?

Flat 10% of the gross entry value of each pool. There are no rolling spreads, no withdrawal fees, no commission on payouts. A €5 entry contributes €4.50 to the prize pool and €0.50 to the platform. The split is printed on every pool's rule sheet before you enter.

Can I edit a prediction after submitting it?

Yes, until the entry window closes. The entry window closes fifteen minutes before the first scheduled kickoff of the round. After that point predictions are locked, the ladder begins building and editing is no longer available.

How does the booster double-points rule work?

Every weekend pool gives you one booster slot. Tag a single fixture as your booster pick before the entry window closes. Whatever points that fixture earns — base outcome, exact score, first scorer or any combination — are multiplied by two on the ladder. You may switch the booster up to the cut-off.

What happens if a match is postponed?

If a fixture is postponed by less than seven days, predictions stand and settle on the rescheduled date. If it is postponed by more than seven days, the platform refunds your pro-rata entry share for that fixture and rescales the ladder so other fixtures still settle normally.

Can I host a private league for friends?

Yes. At the Regular tier you can host one league of up to thirty entrants for free. Premium tier removes the entrant cap. Commissioner add-on (€4.99/mo) unlocks side pools, custom scoring weights and CSV export — useful for office leagues over fifty entrants.

How do I set a deposit limit?

Profile → Safety → Limits. Choose daily, weekly or monthly, then enter the euro cap. Lowering the cap is instant. Raising the cap holds for forty-eight hours by design — to make sure decisions to raise a limit are deliberate, not impulsive.

Can support remove a self-exclusion if I ask?

No. Self-exclusion is the one thing the support team cannot reverse. Once the period ends — twenty-four hours, seven days, thirty days, six months or twelve months — the lock lifts automatically at midnight on the final day. The design is deliberate.

Is my data shared with third parties?

Only with the specific operational partners listed in the privacy policy — KYC (Veridas), payments (Banco Santander, Bizum), live match stats (Opta, Sportradar) and our anonymised research feed. We do not sell personal data and do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Can I play if I am visiting Spain on holiday?

Free-tier practice pools, yes. Paid cash pools require tax residency in Spain — confirmed through KYC. If you move to Spain mid-season we can convert a free account into a paid-eligible one in under five business days once your NIE arrives.

What happens to my money if the platform shuts down?

All wallet balances sit in a segregated Banco Santander client-funds account, separated from operational capital. In the event of an orderly shutdown, balances are returned via SEPA within thirty days. If it is a disorderly shutdown, the segregated account is protected up to Spain's standard guarantee thresholds.

Can I download my play history?

Yes. Profile → Data → Export. The CSV includes every deposit, every withdrawal, every pool entry, every prediction line and every prize settlement. No paywall and no rate limit. Useful for accountants and for personal tax filings.

Do you publish odds or probability data?

No. Lotteria Nazionale is a prediction pool, not a sportsbook. We do not set odds, we do not publish market probabilities, and we do not run "boosted" or "enhanced" markets. The platform never adjusts the value of an individual prediction.

Is there a referral programme?

No paid referral programme. We rely on word-of-mouth and a small annual marketing budget. There is no "refer a friend, get €X" carrot — that pattern incentivises spamming friends and we are not into that.

Can I close my account permanently?

Yes. Profile → Safety → Close account. Your wallet is paid out to a verified Spanish IBAN within seven working days. Identity records are retained for the minimum statutory period (five years) under Spanish anti-money-laundering law, then deleted.

How are tie-breaks resolved?

Identical point totals tie-break on earliest entry submission timestamp. Earlier entry takes higher ladder position. The system discourages waiting until the last minute to lock in predictions — useful for the platform's load balancing and a small reward for early decisions.

Where can I read the platform's compliance certifications?

The About page lists every certification — DGOJ operator licence, AEPD data-protection registration, KPMG-audited financial accounts and Veridas KYC certification. Document copies are available to verified account holders on request to support.

Does the platform pay tax in Spain?

Yes. Lotteria Nazionale Iberica S.L. is a Spanish-incorporated entity. Corporation tax, VAT and gambling activity tax are all paid in Spain. The KPMG-audited annual accounts are available to verified account holders on request.

Where can I see if my withdrawal has cleared?

Profile → Wallet → Activity. Every transaction shows status (pending, in-flight, cleared) and a SEPA reference line that you can match against your Spanish bank statement. The line format is always "LN-W{week}-{year}".
